For the first time ever, we took a real family vacation to Pensacola, FL for Spring Break. We took our time getting down there, and made some stops along the way. We took cave tours, went to the space museum, and went to the Alabama state capitol where the kids learned about the Civil War. Once in Florida, Xander ate his favorite food at least twice a day (shrimp)! Alana loved the beach and collecting seashells. We discovered there were a ton of hermit crabs at one of the beaches we went to, and she built a hermit crab habitat for the 6 crabs we found. Of course we released them a few hours later:) Xander discovered that he wants to live in the South. When we were there, he kept putting his hands behind his head and exclaiming "This is the Life!" He also has a love of sweet tea and drank it as much as possible. It was a great trip and one we will surely remember.
