U of I Homecoming

We took the kids down to U of I for their homecoming on Saturday. It only took us 2 1/2 hours to get there, so we were able to come back the same night. We had lots of fun showing Alana and Alexander all of the sites, where we used to live, etc. The campus looked beautiful. They built so many amenities including the nicest workout facilities we had ever seen----why didn't they do that when we were there??? Anyway, it was a great time, and we plan to come back every year from now on.

At the quad

The union bookstore had the best library. I would love to have a room like that when we get a house. It was so cozy and wonderful, with old world funiture, a beautiful oriental rug, and a fire going with classical music playing in the background. The kids really loved playing there while we browsed through the books.

With Jessica, Matt's college friend who we saw for about 5 minutes. She also drove down from Chicago for homecoming.

The kids had a great time and were zonked.
